Overview

Overview

Choose 2 Rent is an event equipment rental company: from tablets, scanners and routers to printers and pedestals for guest check-in. A comprehensive redesign was carried out to modernize and unify the website, as well as to make information on all the products and services they offer more accessible.

Work done for the Pacific54 agency, in which I was one of the UI/UX Designers of the project.

The analysis.

The analysis.

"Houston, we have a problem."

"Houston, we have a problem."

The original page of the client was fraught with two primary issues: one being poor functionality as a result of excessively delayed loading times, unresponsive links, and malfunctioning images.

The other issue stemming from the disorganized design which encompassed diverse elements and styles, leading to an overbearing visual impact.

Malfunctions, slow loading, broken images and links.

Inconsistency, lack of conventions and standards.

Too much information, different styles of banners, titles and backgrounds.

Difficulty in the process of requesting a quote.

Search for the inspiration.

Search for the inspiration.

You gotta start somewhere.

Various competitors and even client partner sites involved in event organization and equipment provision were thoroughly examined. We developed a fundamental Wordpress template based on project requirements and search durations. This was done to streamline development with pre-set components while preserving customization flexibility for one-of-a-kind site creation.

The process.

The process.

Well, time to fix this!

This project went through many stages and presented a great challenge due to the time it took.

In principle, the objective was to renew the visual style and optimize the reservation system of the homepage and a few internal pages, for which we worked on a wireframe and some first color proposals.

First, wireframes.

We've started with a very basic wireframe, similar to the old website, but with some changes.

Now we begin with the proposals…

We iterate and come up with multiple designs. This is where we had multiple calls and feedback with the client to understand how they felt with these new proposals.

Voilà!

After some iterations and meetings, we've got the final and approved proposal. Communication was key here, and we've made improvements over the old redesign in terms of information and design.

Results.

Results.

Victory, sweet sweet victory.

The main focus of the redesign was, on the one hand, to be very clear when showing the service offered by the client and the different products available for rent, and on the other hand, to simplify and optimize the forms and the reservation system, with steps that would guide to the user in the process. In addition to the homepage, all internal pages were designed and developed.

Mobile version.

Kinda bittersweet.

Kinda bittersweet.

By decision of the client, the complete mobile version was not created, but only reference screens for developers, such as the homepage or navigation.
