Overview

Overview

Banesco is an international bank of Venezuelan origin, with headquarters in the United States, the Dominican Republic and Panama. The project consisted of unifying the branding of all headquarters and optimizing the websites, adapting the content to each headquarters.

Work done for the Pacific54 agency, in which I was one of the UI/UX Designers of the project.

The analysis.

The analysis.

So different, yet they're the same.

So different, yet they're the same.

The main objective was to unify the design of the website of the four headquarters (Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Panama and the United States) so that it works as a single global brand and a customizable template can be replicated, adapting the content and some requirements of each headquarters.

Components and sections without replicable structures or patterns.

Inconsistency, not using the same design system between all headquarters.

Information without hierarchical organization.

Difficulty trying to reach out to the bank.

The competitors.

The competitors.

We needed the spotlight.

After the initial analysis, the client shared the idea of the style Banesco was looking for: maintaining the essence of traditional banks, but approaching modern digital banks and wallets, such as Brubank or Revolut. This was achieved with simpler navigation, concise information, the use of cards and rounded edges throughout the site.

What's next?

What's next?

We've got this.

We've got this.

Since the main objective was to unify the design of all the headquarters, the next thing was to find common points in the structure and content to create replicable sections and components, such as banners, the search engine and quick shortcuts, news and news section, service and product cards, etc.

With all the styles and basic components defined, the rest of the pages were designed in both mobile and desktop versions, with images and content provided by the client, first was mobile design.

All for one.

First we try to come up with wireframes that incorporates the essence of the headquarters, while keeping it fresh with a modern redesign.

So, we continue…

Feedback and sessions with the client back and forth until we've got everything set to show them the proposals.

Finally!

Once the last proposal was approved, text styles, icons and components, colors, etc. were defined.

Results.

Results.

Mostly a success.

All designs were designed to function as templates with modules and components that can be replicated and adapted according to the content of each headquarters, therefore sections were created that were interchangeable and reorderable, addable or removable if necessary: different versions of banners, a grid of cards for products and services, a section of advantages and benefits, an accordion system with collapsible information, among others.

Style guide.

Style guide.

"Hella Good".

Once the webpages designs got their final approve, we've developed a full style guide with instructions for the use of logos, colors, typographies, images, and components.

The objective of the guide was to maintain consistency for the four headquarters when it came to adapting the to adapt the content of each one.
